Christian Louboutin Spring 2011

Let's just take a brief break from fall to oogle the awesomeness from  Jonathan Saunders' London Fashion Week show.  Loving his collection.  REALLY loving the Christian Louboutin shoes shown with it.

Harry Barker

Friends, you are in for a treat today.  Or maybe it's your pets that are in for the treat.  Either way, you'll want to keep reading to learn more about Harry Barker.  My friend Anna is a senior designer at the pet lifestyle brand, and she so graciously took the time to divulge the goods in a little Q & A session.
Here's Anna.

Super cute, right?  She's just as witty and fun as she is adorable.  That's her dog Pilot.  She's pretty darn good lookin' too.  See how casually she models the safari bed?

Harry Barker designs and produces all sorts of trendy pet products.  They are a global, eco-friendly pet lifestyle brand, and in the last few months alone have been featured in Garden & GunO, The Oprah Magazine, Country Living, Southern Living, Coastal Living and Baltimore Dog to name a few.

I know, you want to see the goods!  I'm especially loving their entire collection of dog beds.

The bowls and storage containers are pretty hip too.  The plaid pieces are a perfect touch for fall.

There are loads of other fun goodies and toys too.

As I mentioned above, Anna so sweetly took some time to answer a few questions.

Look Linger Love: What do you love most about working for Harry Barker?
Anna: Working with Harry Barker's Owner and Founder, Ford Model Carol Perkins, is exciting and new every day.  Her life experiences, travel influences and original creativity are truly one of a kind.  Of course, bringing my dog Pilot everyday to work as a model and muse is definitely a perk... And there's never a dull moment at Harry Barker!
LLL: Willing to divulge what you are currently working on?
Anna: We are currently working on extending our Leopard Safari Collection to our food storage cans and bowls for Spring 2011, and also revitalizing our spa products and reformulating to be all natural and organic.  As always, we revive the classics, infuse the old with new and remain relevant to the latest patterns, textures and trends.  There are constantly new toys, collars, leashes and bed patterns in the works!
LLL: What is your favorite pastime with your dog, Pilot?
Anna: Pilot loves running on the beach and visiting the dog park.  She's extremely social, quite the party girl and will never pass up an opportunity to bark at a man in uniform.

There is also an inpiring story behind Harry Barker.  Founder Carol Perkins modeled with Ford and has appeared in everything from Vogue to Harper's Bazaar to Victoria's Secret.  While still modeling, she made her debut on Broadway as a fire-eater with Penn and Teller.
Then, Carol became homebound.  While recovering from a life threatening battle with a rare brain tumor, Carol started creating dog beds, toys and robes for friends as a form of therapy.  The popularity of these products led to the launch of Harry Barker, named in honor of Carol's Super-Sheltie.

Inspiring story, innovative design, eco-friendly,  I guess that sums it up.  Oh wait.  I did mention treats, right?  Of course, they have them.

I think I know what will be the favorite gift for our furry friends this holiday season.  Go see the rest of the Harry Barker collection here.

Layered

What do you all think of the layered trend for fall?  While I usually lean towards minimalism, I am definitely jumping on board with this one.  I say layer it all....

I'm even feeling the warmth these layered rugs give the room.

That back wall is dreamy.

1st Birthday Party Jitters

I almost stopped dead in my tracks when I realized that my baby girl will turn 1 in about six weeks!  What?  Wait.  Where has this year gone?  Then I really almost lost it when I realized that I have nothing (nada!) planned for her birthday.  Thank goodness for all of the party inspiration out there to get my motor ticking.  These are a few of the images that are inspiring me.
Probably the cutest invites I've ever seen.  Via Hip Hip Hooray

Guest Feature Decorating For Fall

I'm so excited to have Kirsten of 6th Street Design School as a guest feature today.  She is a bright and budding interior designer out of Utah with a serious eye for style.  You may remember Kirsten from my Nate In New York post (isn't she adorable?!).  If you haven't yet visited her blog, then you should take some time to go browse.  She is hands down one of my favorite blogs to read daily for interior tips, and should be yours too!  Kirsten, I'm honored to have you today.  Thank you so much for putting this together for my readers.

I love decorating for fall. Some of the most simple accessories can give your home that warm harvest feeling.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Feathers

I think a simple feather can really give off the essence of fall. Especially a beautiful quail feather.

Fruit and Nuts

I love nuts mixed with fruit in the fall.

Leaves

The great thing about leaves is that they are all around in the fall. Just pick a few up and spread them on your table or fill a vase with them.
