My New Style Crush?

She's gorgeous, has a quirky sassiness, and holds a melon ball for a belly.  Seriously though, whether you're pregnant or not, there is just no denying Sydney's adorable style.  That girl sure wears her baby bump well!

Is she not the cutest??  I'm feeling all baby bump sparkly & inspired.  Check out Sydney's blog The Daybook to see more.  And major thanks to Eileen from A Creative Day for giving me the scoop on Sydney.  Where have I been??

Handprinted + Handmade

I've long appreciated the designs that Amie Cunningham of Thief & Bandit cranks out.  I recently popped into her shop and was not surprised to find oodles of items that I'm loving.  A lot of you commented on the baby leggings that I included in my last Etsy Favorites Roundup post, so I thought that today I'd highlight a few more of the gems to be found at Thief & Bandit.

Visit her shop to see more.  And pssst, it's all well priced!

Biggs Powell Grand Opening Party

Charleston recently acquired a new design force by the name of Biggs Powell.  I had the honor of attending the opening party of his shop on King Street and was blown away.  I could have pointed with closed eyes and been happy to take home anything.  Well, maybe not the mounted deer heads that I spied (don't hate me Biggs!), but definitely anything else!

Exquisite, non?  And I'm switching out all of my candle sticks to red asap.  Of course, I shouldn't be surprised to be so inspired.  Biggs Powell is highly published by some of our favorites such as House Beautiful, Southern Accents, Veranda, and this month's Elle Decor.
Welcome to Charleston, Mr. Powell.  We're thrilled to have your oh so finely edited selections here in our city.

A Sophisticated Traveler Nursery By Caitlin Wilson

I have so been looking forward to sharing today's Nursery Design Series feature.  Caitlin Wilson is one of my most favorite design bloggers.  You all know this as you might remember my Q&A with Caitlin a few months back.  I then refered to her as a "triple threat kind of girl", and I still stand by that claim.  Just check out her nursery design below and see for yourself.

Chassity, Thanks for having me on your lovely blog...I wanted to give you a unique nursery design that's refined, sophisticated, layered, and smart. Since it's fall- I'm really feeling the rusty tones- camels, plaids, herringbones, leopard, stripes, and lots of texture. I brought in some masculine furniture and balanced it with fun safari/traveling themed accessories and storage. The paper mache antlers are my absolute fav and would love to see them on a grasscloth or wool wallcovering! The chevron fabric for the curtains is from my new fabric line, out mid-October.

Told you she's rockstar.  Don't you just love how well those elements go together?  And you know Caitlin just whipped it up easily.  Such talent.  I, along with the rest of the design world, am SO excited for her fabric line to become available next month.  Thanks so much for contributing your nursery vision here today, Caitlin!

Crown Her

Well I don't know about you but I was just blown away by Lauren Conrad's Paper Crown Spring 2012 collection.  Thank goodness I'll be delivering this baby before the end of the year and will have time to get my body back because Paper Crown = Baby Weight Loss Motivation.

Ahhh, love it.  Don't you?

You Want To Read This Post. It's Good.

I was invited to preview the Armani Collezioni Fall & Spring lines this past week at Rapport on King Street.  Those of you in the Charleston area who still grieve over the loss of our downtown Saks location definitely need to stop in.  Anne Summer opened up Rapport at the end of 2010 to keep the gorgeous lines and talented staff that Saks provided alive here in Charleston.  Hallelujah.

I was happy to have an excuse to drop in for a little informal modeling (not by me of course!) and mingling.  As you can see the preview of Armani Collezioni's Spring line is bright and breathtaking.  The quality and detailing is truly incredible.

I specifically requested that the model put on that pink jacket above.  It is my favorite piece and I knew you all would love it too.

And I managed to grab one quick photo with a few of the ladies there.  From left to right we have Jackie Tyler Thomson (Leapfrog), me donning my 26 week baby bump, Erin Perkins (High Heels & Two Wheels), Stacy Huggins (Charleston Art Magazine), and Rebecca Blackman (Leapfrog).

Thanks for the beautiful event (and delicious pimento cheese sandwiches), Rapport!  If you're in the Charleston area you should swing by and check it out.

Have you all heard about the Dollhouse Design Challenge that Emily Henderson is pulling off?  She and a great slew of talented blogging ladies are all designing and decorating dollhouses.  I die over the excitement of it all.  We all swooned last year over Curbed National's Operation Dollhouse Project.  Here's a look back at Lonny's teeny tiny masterpiece (my favorite)...

Well, the standard has been set quite high but I think we're going to see some incredible creations come deadline time mid December.  All the ladies participating will be regularly posting progress photos as they go.  I'm SO excited to follow my girl Amanda's design process as she and her daughter create a dream dollhouse together.  How sweet is that??!

Can you even imagine the frenzy if these ladies would sell their luxe living dollhouses... Holy Merry Christmas morning for a small few but very lucky little (or big) girls!

Oh, did I mention that anyone can take part in this Decorate A Dollhouse challenge?
 So if you're feeling inspired go get to it!!

Now, I always adore Caitlin's style, but I really loved this outfit she shared this week!  So cute, especially liking that blazer!

Go girl!  And I seriously can't wait to see the outcome of your Glitter Guide features you're working on this weekend.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, we'll wrap things up today with yet another sweet nursery creation that an amazing reader was inspired to whip up for my little man.  (Ya'll are seriously the best!)  Check out Emily's post for all the shopping sources (you know you want that pendant light).
Happy Saturday to you all!
A Classic Nursery By Jen of Made By Girl
One of your very favorite bloggers is visiting here today sharing her own spin on Baby Evans' abode for our Nursery Design Series.  I'm an avid reader of Jen's blog, Made By Girl, a fan of her Made By Girl print shop, and am now a die hard fan of her custom painting shop Cocoa & Hearts.  Like, I drool over every piece she turns out.  I got to meet Jen in person while attending Blogfest in NYC in May, and let me tell you that she's as beautiful and sweet as she appears to be on your computer.  I say this in the most sincere girl crush kind of way :)
