5 Things I Can't Live Without

Good morning and happy Monday.  Josh and I got away for a short trip to Charlotte for a friend's wedding shower and some shopping over the weekend.  Happily, the weather was fabulous.  Made for a nice drive.

Anyway, Drew over at Coral Cafe tagged me in this fun "5 things I can't live without" series.  My post won't be nearly as gorgeous as hers, (she is a graphic designer afterall) but I'll give it a go.  Oh, and in the spirit of keeping this fun, I won't share the real things I can't live without... like my toothbrush and water, Lilly's video monitor and stroller, cheese...

Massive Bags

I don't know what I would do without large bags in my life.  I carry this Gucci Hysteria Large Tote as my daily diaper bag, and it's held up so well.  I love it because it's not the tradtional looking diaper bag, yet is big enough for me to carry just about anything.  My Dad gave this bag to me as a gift while I was pregnant.  And I plan to pass it to Lilly someday when she's old enough to appreciate it.  I already consider it "hers".

IPhone

Seriously though, how did I live without an iphone?  I can check blog stuff, all my social network sites, email, text, surf the web, listen to music, take photos and videos of Lilly, oh and actually use it as a phone too.  OH, and I'm in the process of designing my new iphone case by Dani Notes, which you know will make it that much cooler :)

Music

Right now I'm crazy into Adele's music.  I seriously rock out.  Enough said.

Sunglasses

My eyes are super sensitive to the sun.  I like to think that wearing posh sunglasses keeps me from squinting, and therefore helps delay the dreaded wrinkles.  This pair by Alexander Wang is on my birthday wishlist.
Family & Friends

Because I love her so sooo much I'm just going to post another pic of my girl here.  I hope ya'll don't mind the indulgence.  Oh, and Lilly likes sunglasses too ;)

So now I have to tag another blogger to continue on the series.  Cassie at Hi Sugarplum, you're it!

What's For Breakfast?

I was recently turned on to avocado toast. And frankly, there's no turning back now.  It's that good.  I've always struggled with breakfast.  I much prefer a slice of pizza over eggs anyday.  And after so many consecutive days, everything bagels get (gasp!) boring.  This avocado toast recipe posted by Lisa from With Style & Grace is where it's at.  Trust me.

{Originally spotted at Pink Wallpaper.}

Lilly even likes it too.  But she's much more into her cinammon toast, bananas, and greek yogurt.

And speaking of bananas... did you see this adorable Harry Allen designed banana bowl that Margaret over at Accessories Please shared this week? I really want this.

Because our bananas are always just laying around on our counter... it's bananas....

Blogger Style

What happens when you whisk away a group of European style bloggers to Milan?

You get a bunch of gussied up girls, of course.  The kind of girls that draw a crowd of passerbys' attention.  Carrie of Wish Wish Wish blogged about the weekend (she's in the camel colored Zara dress).  Their photographer, Miguel Santana, shot a pretty cool video of them perusing the city.  If you have the time go see.

But don't you just love this shot?  Even the girls' shadows exude their attitude.

So tell me... which of their ensembles most reflects your style?

Jen Of Made By Girl Shares Her Favorites

My next guest to partake in the Favorties Series hardly even needs an introduction.  The insanely gorgeous Jen Ramos from Made By Girl is pretty much a blog staple in most reader's news feeds.  Her stylish designs and renovations always impress.  And I, along with so many others, am smitten with her prints available in her Made By Girl Etsy Shop.  Ya'll know her work was just featured on The Nate Show, as well as in Cosmo, Glamour, Lucky, Marie Claire.... right?

Her "Love" print is available here.

So today I'm honored to get to share with you some of Jen's favorite things from her home.  And with that, I'll let Jen do the sharing.

MY ALL WHITE KITCHEN:  I can't even begin to tell you how long I craved an all white kitchen. I'm so happy that I've been blessed with a nice home & the kitchen that I've wanted for so long. It's roomy & has a great BIG island to serve all kinds of food on. Oh yes and the hicks pendants- they make such a great statement, they really complete the whole look & feel of the kitchen!

MY MASTER CLOSET: We have two master closets but we managed to renovate mine before the husband's. For obvious reasons, I won more stuff! ha! Either way, my guy was very gracious and generous with his time when it came to building the shoe shelves & it is now one of my favorite spots in my home!

GUEST BEDROOM WING BACK CHAIR: The black & white wing back was recently re-upholstered. It was a chair I purchased a few years ago at Pier 1 imports and i decided to make it look more chic & interesting. I really think the white piping made such a great impact and i really love it.

FOYER PENDANT LIGHT: This light was a DIY that my guy & i took on. It was modeled after the Moooi random pendant & it looks super pretty when you walk into our place & look up.  Im really proud of the way it turned out and cant believe how much moeny we ended up saving!

MY PAINTING OVER MY DESK:  This painting is one of my favorites that I painted. It reminds me of lipstick or even nail polish. The colors are bright & happy and I constantly receive compliments on it, whether its online or when someone comes over to my home. My mom also told me she loved it which was really nice to hear her say!

Much thanks to Jen for sharing some of her home here with us today.  I can't even believe that she and her husband made that pendant light.  And did you spy the acrylic stools in her kitchen?  And all the goods in her closet?  Okay, I'll stop now.  No, I must comment on that painting- J'Adore (I never break out that phrase and ya'll know that!).

So tell us what you think.  Which is your favorite from Jen's home?

Who Wore It Better- Erdem Edition

I've seen this question come up a few times:

Who wore the Erdem Margot Lace Dress better?

Alexa Chung for Net-A-Porter Spring Magazine, Michelle Williams at Blue Valentine premiere.

I don't see how this is even a question.

Juliette Hogan & A Guest Post

The Juliette Hogan Winter 2011 Collection has me smitten.  But I'll let you judge for yourself.

Flirty skirts.  Feminine and tailored perfection for days.  And don't you just love her updo??  I can only imagine the hairspray it held considering the numerous wardrobe changes.

Have a little more time to browse??  Today I'm over at Michaela Noelle's Blog sharing what I'm loving and what I'm not.  Don't miss, it's such a cute series.  And to give you a sneak peak, I'm loving this.

A Birthday In Vegas?

I think I will.  Happily.  I could use a little glitz + glammer to welcome the last year of my 20's.

We'll be staying in the salon suite at The Wynn.  And quite frankly, I'm pinching myself.  It is 1800 square feet of gorgeousness...

And we'll have plenty of distractions like this...

Not to mention the shopping (so very well timed right before Charleston Fashion Week!!).

Print available at lineocutboy

So what do you think?  Does what happens in Vegas have to stay in Vegas??

Model Morphosis

Just briefly popping in to share this with you in case you've missed it.  While reading Happenstance (one of my daily reads!) I followed her link to this Model Morphosis page.  You can't deny the power of makeup, especially when you can just drag the little orange line to see the changes in these women's looks just by switching up their makeup.  So cool.  The function doesn't work on my page, so you have to go there to see.

Dani Notes

You are just going to LOVE LOVE LOVE my new sponsor I'm introducing today, Dani Notes Stationary.  You might already be familiar with Dani's work because this girl has certainly received her share of blog love for her paper goods and plates/platters.  But have you seen her new iphone cases??  Me want! Me want!

Aren't they so awesome?  There are so many different patterns and colors to choose from that the possibilites are practically endless.  And take a look at the picture below.  Her case adds a dash of cool to that already cute desk.

And I think some of these would be a perfect gift for a little boy or girl who just got their first phone.  Instant cool.

Okay, so fun, whimsy phone cases: check.  But that is not even close to all that Dani offers.  She also designs adorable invitations, announcements, and stationary.

Along with cute mailing supplies like return address wraps and stickers for a polished look.

{Love this Valentine's greeting she recently designed. Note the coordinating address wrap!}

And if you're throwing a party and need help pulling together the details and theme... she's got you covered.

Last but not least is her fabulous collection of plate and platters.  Perfect for gifts, parties, or even decor!  And again, the possibilities are endless here too.

And maybe you saw Kirsten from 6th Street Design School's son Jett's first birthday party.  Love his birthday plate.  It's something they can keep forever.

Dani and her family are so gorgeous that I can't resisit sharing a picture.  They live here in Charleston, SC.

Welcome Dani Notes Stationary!  I'm so happy to have you here at Look Linger Love.  And everyone, be sure to visit her shop to see more.  I've barely even scratched the surface on what all she offers... like the genius book plates.
