Marysia Swim

I'm beyond thrilled to share with you all my interview with swimwear designer Marysia Dobrzanska Reeves.  She is the designer behind the Marysia Swim brand for women and children.  She's gorgeous, funny, and a major talent.  Take a look at her glamorous self.
Girl crush!  I'm buying whatever she's selling.  And it's good.  Oooh, is it good.

The Marysia Swim 2011 collection is a perfect mix of feminine and sexy.  The vintage high-waste shapes and soft colors pair up to be a flattering team.   I'm dying over every single one of these suits.  Attention was paid to every detail, including cover-ups to compliment the collection.

Marysia Swim's Bumby collection for children is simply one of the cutest swimwear lines of its kind available.  It coordinates perfectly with the women's collection without being too "matchy-matchy".

Don't go running off to see the rest of her collection yet.  Marysia was kind enough to answer some questions I had for her.

Look Linger Love: What was your inspiration for the 2011 collection?
Marysia: The inspiration started with a mood of calm.  After doing a collection where neon accents were the key element I wanted to sort of calm down- go far away to Fiji to get inspired.  I haven't really been to Fiji but it all came from what I imagine someone could dress in on a Fijian vacation.  I hope my little dream comes true soon :)
LLL: You clearly rocked the runway at the Miami Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.  Do you have a favorite moment?
Marysia: Thank you!  We have received all very nice feedback.  My favorite moment must be when the first model hits the runway- I always get emotional right then as all the hard work "goes live" so to speak.
LLL: Do you favor any specific piece(s) form the collection?
Marysia: I do love them all but I hate tan lines so I will have the TALEI bikini in both colors I'm sure.  I'll also have the FELISE for surfing and the KAVA malliot as a sexy mom suit around the pool.  The cut of KAVA is amazing- I really was surprised when I tried it on.
LLL: Congratulations on winning Charleston Fashion Week's Emerging Designer 2009.  How has this impacted your life?
Marysia: It gave me a big boost of confidence and I believe it helped to get me accepted into the Mercedes Benz fashion week.
LLL: Where can we purchase Marysia Swim?
Marysia: We launched our site last February but the new collections (both Marysia SWIM and Marysia BUMBY) will be available for sale in December.  We will also update the store list on our website in the near future.  We are up to 35 stores nationwide and some international stores as well.  We also plan to sell in Australia this March so I hope that will add some stores to our roster.

Okay, now you can run to Marysia Swim to read more and view the rest of the collection.  Also, be like the rest of the cool kids and friend her Marysia Swim facebook fan page so you can keep up with all of the latest news.  I can assure you that you won't want to miss a thing that this woman does!

I've never considered one-piece bathing suits but these are worth noting! I totally forgot she won the Emerging Designer contest. Good for her!
