My friend Haskell (an editor at Garden & Gun) recently told me about this great contest going on and I had to share with you all.
Garden & Gun magazine is in the midst of the 2nd year of their annual contest
Made in the South. Do you make a fashion, home, food, or sporting product here in the South? Now's your chance to take it to the next level. Last year's Style winner, Gabrielle of
Gabrielle Jewelry, casts the most gorgeous lace jewels by integrating traditional clothing adornments into modern pieces of jewelry. In other words, she preserves the original design by replacing it with metal.
And I know that some of you have wild talents too. The winners (along with several honorable mentions) of each category will be published in
Garden & Gun's December/January 2012 issue. Each winner will also receive a $500 cash prize along with a chance to be a part of the Made in the South Awards online boutique at
Taigan. So
go enter! It's a really simple entry process and you have until August 1st to do it.
Good luck!
