Help!

So my super sweet but very opinionated little girl is insistent upon being a robot for Halloween.  A robot.  Anytime she's asked what her costume will be she declare's robot.  In fact, we recently ran into a neighbor who thought that she had maybe misunderstood Lilly's answer so she asked Lilly again what she's dressing up as.  Lilly responded with very exagerated ennunciation "ROOOBOOOOOT" in a most "you're an idiot" manner.  ??  Where did this come from?  My child is not bratty like that by the way.  She's actually super sweet.  So it was actually kind of hilarious and Josh and I are still laughing about it.

So does anyone know where I can find a "cute" robot costume that my 23 month old child will actually be able to move around in?  They're hard to find.  And I'm just not the creative DIY type (go ahead and laugh and say "just cut some holes in a box").  Seriously though, anyone know of one?

No clue on the robot but huge high five to letting her be what she wants...I know sometimes they are crazy ideas but letting them be original is so HUGE! XOXO. I will keep thinking on the costume source :)

Type in robot costume for toddler in Google search. A bunch come up...including a Yo Gabba Gabba one (Megan's James is going dressed like that). I don't watch the show as I don't have little ones, but is that maybe where she got the idea?

I wished my son wanted to be a robot...
Get two boxes, different sizes, one for the head and one for the body. Cut out some holes, Paint it, Cut out eye holes. And get some silver dryer air vent stuff for the arms.

I think I remember a robot costume on the Family Fun website - Aesthetic Outburst (blog) is SUPER creative with kids costumes. My kids were *always* making robot voices for a while last year- turns out there's a Sesame St. skit featuring Elmo as a robot -with a robot voice that's very catchy. 'GOOOD LUUUCK'

I am dying laughing that Lily is still talking about being a Robot. Too bad Sterling is not a girl I would take that Pebbles costume off your hands since we still have no costume!

You tell them Lilly! How cute she wants to be a robot! Maggie went from turtle, crab, to a flying horse?!?!! Hannah a cheerleader and that was that. Once those opinions set in it takes longer to get them dressed while they pick what THEY want to wear ;) I say this as I look at Hannahs outfit that I don't really agree was the best option...but I gave in this am :) Can't wait to see pics of Lilly's costume!

Hilarious story. I love it. I can just picture her saying rooooooboooooot! And something tells me you won't just bust some holes in a box.

I cannot help at all with where to find a ROOOOBOOOOOT costume---but this is a hilarious story. Haha--good luck and I cannot wait to see what you decide on. :) By the way, she will be the cutest robot by far. :)

That story is flippin funny :D Mine is 2, and I thought I'd still be able to have a say in the costume this year - apparently not. Not good for this control freak of a momma!

Would you be able to pull off a wind up doll with a key in the back as a robot? You could tell her she could walk around like a robot??? Just a thought. Good luck!

Hilarious! That sounds like something my 2 year old would say! At least yours has an opinion on what she wants to be....mine doesn't care.....and when she does it's a princess....she is definitely a diva in the making! Good luck with finding a robot costume.

Awww! A Robot?! That's my kind of girl. What if you found her an R2-D2 style costume? That would be precious....

Hahah that story is adorable. Although I can't help you with the costume, I can relate to being the little girl so opinionated about her costumes. It is after all the best holiday of the year!

Rory was flipping through PB kids and she is obsessed with the Shark costume. She will not stop talking about it. What? A shark? ;) ha...at least we have creative little girls! But I think she may be b/w a shark and a princess. She goes back and forth.

That old navy robot costume is cute....if she will let you, put a frilly red skirt on over the bottom.
