Random Friday

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I was going on and on about my love for Popham Design's tile? Well the designer, Caitlin, is SO generously giving me a discount (pinch me). So guess what, it's now in my budget! Hooray! Check out what I chose. I'm SOOOO excited and can't wait to show you all when it's installed!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While scrolling through my iPhone pictures I noticed both of these shots. Apparently I have a thang for this style (I don't even know what to call it).
 {Taken at Hill Gallery, Charleston, SC}
{Taken at Elle Decor House, NYC}
And this is unbelievable. this entire design in this room is made of salt. Can you even imagine? It was incredible to see in person. The artist is Motoi Yamamoto and it's up at the Hill Gallery here in Charleston, SC right now. We were there last night for a Spoleto party.
And I've also decided that I need to collect an eclectic mix of moroccan glasses. How fun is this?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Do y'all stalk Moda Operandi like I do? I like to get on there and dream. Such a genius concept taking the latest styles straight from the runway and available to you for pre order. Brilliant. No need to worry if your local shop has ordered your favorite piece from your favorite designer's collection. Here's a sampling of what I'm currently loving on there. Granted, most of this is out of my budget, but you can find some things on there that aren't sooo high :)

I might not be able to resist those Del Toro Serpent Slipper Loafers.

Lastly, I haven't shared a picture of Fletcher lately. He's getting so big - 6 months old now! Here we are this past weekend at the beach. Not my best shot, but I think he looks adorable. I'd share the super cute picture I got of Lilly at the beach too, but she looks so grown up in her bikini, and who knows what kind of creepy mc'creepsters are lurking...

Hey, Happy Friday!!

The salt installation is actually at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston. The Hill Gallery is the hallway outside of the Halsey where they display student work. Everyone go see the Yamamoto show at the Halsey!
