'Round Here

It's hotter than blazes and even more humid to go with it. Too hot for make up. Too hot for dressing up (sorry if you had to see me around town today). Even my Firefly sweet teas are barely cooling me off. But that's summer in Charleston. And you still have to (well, like I mentioned above you don't really have to) look good. Regardless, Style Syllabus asked me to contribute my top summer beauty pick to invest in this summer. I went all rogue and said bronzer (I know). But there are some other great suggestions over there that I'm pretty pumped to hear about. You can check it out here.

On an unrelated note. I'm loving these Anakras lights. Aren't they fun?

This clutch is only $65 and freaking awesome. I like it a lot.

I'm trying to talk Josh into an indoor swing (not the kinky bedroom kind!). I mean, right?

Okay one more time because these light are just plain cool.

Love those lights and you definitely need an indoor swing, how fun is that! I need to try the Chanel bronzer, right now I'm using Laura Mercier's and love it.

oh my gosh, indoor kids swing = coolest house ever! You have got to talk Josh into it! And staying cool in Charleston is impossible! I still cringe when I think back on all those years all dressed up with cute dresses and hair and make-up done all to sweat in the slime pit that was downtown breezeless bars. Oh man I don't miss that one bit. Give me a topknot with no makeup and a cocktail on a waterfront porch! Maybe one with a big swing, hint hint!

I am loyal to my Nars bronzer but you have me intrigued with Chanels. Indoor swing= amazeballs. And it is too hot to do anything but drink cold beverages here- I had forgotten about Firefly might just pick some up today when I hit up the ABC for our usual Titos.

Loving those lights and that CLUTCH!!! I have a thing for geometric anything...and blue! Yes to the swing...I think you should go for it! Have you checked out La La Lovely's? She has a swing and a disco ball in her living room-rock on!

If you have the space - put a swing in the playroom! But I might have to agree with Josh that they are better left outdoors. Love that bronzer, but Jake would kill me if I spent $60 on it! I use Physician's Formula...doesn't cause breakouts and does the job. xoxo www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
