Really, do you all wear super chic and feminine stuff like this on a day to day basis? Probably not considering it would be real hard to tuck in those bows. I guess what I'm really asking is...
What does your undergarment drawer look like? Is it a mess of cotton basics or is it brimming with color and texture? I wish I could say otherwise but mine is overflowing with a sad array of white, nude, and black blaaah-ness. Oh, and if you tell me you're of the "matching" type I just might have a fit of envy.

It's funny you should post this, I was just thinking of doing the same! I finally broke down yesterday, after years, yes years, of wearing boring bras that fit terribly. I had some gift money from Christmas, so I headed straight to Nordstrom. The sales associate was the best, I now know my proper size (boy was I surprised), and have a few brands I know I can go to for a great fit everytime. I will be changing out a lot of the things in my drawer in the coming months!
I definitely don't match but I have lots of colors and textures! Love me some color!!
I am obsessed with "on gossamer boy shorts" you can find them at nordstroms. I did an entire post about them a couple of months ago. I feel very feminine in them, yet they are so comfy. I have them in every color under the sun
Very sexy ! We are actually having white chicken chili tonight.... I'll have to check out your recipe.
I wish it was all matching and beautiful, but no such luck! There is a line called hanky panky that some of my friends swear by and I have been buying and it is really great!
Even though the classic whites, nudes and blacks reign in my drawer I do have some pretty silk and lace ones for those days when you feel ultra feminine. And for those days in between "regular me" and "ultra feminine feeling me" I go for lace-trim cotton ones in soft patterns. Ok I guess this is my most personal comment ever! haha
sadly, it's full of white, black, and nude and a whole lot of spanx! The only colorful panties I own are from the Victoria's Secret Pink collection and I don't think cotton really counts as non-blah! Oh, and nothing ever matches top to bottom!
I think I need to step it up!
My drawer is a big giant mess, as are all the drawers in my house but I do have some pretties in there. I have a lot of cotton basics but I also have some lacy/colourful matching sets as well- I always hate spending money of the stuff that I figure no one sees so hubby buys it for me at present time.
I just love Hanky Pankys, I am in those everyday and have them in every single color imaginable. Other than that I am really boring. I wish I could spend the money on adorable little sets, but that money always seems to go towards clothes or pillows!
Yeah I have some hanky panky colorful pairs too that are great. I guess I'm thinking more of my bra selection...
haha---too funny. I an so so envious of that bra and panty set. I'm heading over to Intimacy (to spend a christmas gift card) this weekend and this might just inspire me to get something other than something "practical". ; ) I do however have fun sexy and cotton. A girl needs it all doesn't she? ; )
Undergarments are right up my alley! I LOVE buying fun colors and matching them..it makes you feel good because you know that you look good inside and out (no pun intended). I only have 1 black & 1 nude bra and I think they're just as sexy. V.S. is having their semi-annual now so your sure to find some cute pairs!
Ya. Right. Mine looks just like a Victorias Secret catalog. Can you see me rolling my eyes while I'm writing this??? (c: I do have the lingere drawer and that is more exciting, but I feel like the day to day is a little blah, too...I guess that's what children do to ya! (c:

Gorgeous!! Mine's definitely half pretty half practical (and guess which half gets a lot more wear ;)
Happy New Year!!
Totally agree about not knowing what to do with the bows, but that set is so beautiful. I have a few sets from La Perla (sample sales, of course), but most of my underthings are black or brightly-colored. I do have this annoying complex that my bras and undies always have to match, even though I know no one will be seeing anything anyway. RueLala has La Perla sample sales fairly often; it's luxurious, but not as overpriced as in stores.
Hope your week is going well!
Mine looks probably a lot like yours. I have such a hard time spending money on underwear. Probably because no one sees them and my hubby doesn't really care. Or maybe he does and just doesn't day anything. I love impromptu date nights. I wish we had family close by to do go on date nights more often, but I am really looking forward to having a full time nanny in Peru.
I'm a big Hanky Panky fan (love the color selection) and for bras I love buying ones that fit great AND look nice, usually the European brands - hard to find and pricey but totally worth it. Fit is the single most important thing with bras, your body & clothing just looks so much better!
I would have to be in the groups above until last week...but I did go to norstrom's and buy a few great bras and I did sneek a couple REALLY sexy's from http://www.froufroufashionista.blogspot.com/ yummy!
I have totally simplified my collection and drawer. 1 black, 1 nude, 1 rich purple (my favorite color), one strapless, and some sports bras. I no longer spend an insane amount on bottoms, but in result get to update and replace much more often (and not stress as much about 'wear & tear' in the washer!). I do love the brands that the others have suggested, but this new system works perfectly for me, and keeps me feeling new and fresh (totally sound like a commercial right now:).
I think we should all get together and create our own line of "real" everyday pretty undergarments. The picture is phenomenal but i can't think of one outfit I have that it would actually work under (but I think that is the point;))
Sadly, a lot of white nude and black over here too. Did recently find some really cute bras and inexpensive (but very comfortable) at aerie by american eagle. NEVER would have thought, but I'm sold. they're nude and white but cute at the same time. My biggest challenge is finding underwear that fits. It's fine and dandy that the bra comes with a cute pair of underwear or that there is a whole pile of cute ones that I like, but getting ones that fit and actually look decent once translated onto the ol' bod - different story. GOOD LUCK !
