The Idea Of The Century

When you're pregnant, you don't want to be confined to shopping maternity clothes alone.
Can I get an Amen?!

When I was pregnant with Lilly I tried to shop very inexpensively and non-maternity by just shopping at normal stores but going up a size.  I had a lot of luck at Francesca's b/c it was close to home, reasonably priced, and since I wasn't buying for the long haul the quality wasn't as big of a deal.  I always felt a little bad for the teenagers in there shopping with their moms when they would see me, I know I totally ruined their game making them think it was for "old women"!

But Francesca's just added a great new shopping tool to their website - Baby BumpsThey've put all of their baby bump friendly items in this section to make for easy shopping.  I guess I wasn't the only expectant momma perusing their store.

This idea is brilliant.  Even more than brilliant, it's brillz!  EVERY store should be doing this.

Do you hear me J.Crew??

I was a Forever 21 & Francesca's shopper when I was sporting the belly. What my niece would buy as a dress I would wear as a top with leggings or jeans, not sure how she felt about that, LOL!

LOVE this idea! I did the same by going up a size, however you had to be sure the shirt could work with your baby bump and now the store does that for you...perfect!

Great idea in theory however I doubt my twin bump would fit into most seeing as it has trouble in some maternity clothes! Very nice for the average bump though. Maternity stores are largely brutal so this is a great option.

Genius idea! I did the same thing and pretty much bought all normal clothes just bigger sizes because lets be honest Maternity clothes are heinous. The dresses are always a bad length, the shirts are always too huge, ugh just thinking about it makes me cringe. JCREW really should copy this idea! Hope you had a great weekend! We need a date next week for sure when I get back!

That is totally brilliant!! Although let me tell you that with twins on board, I'm not sure how long I could have gotten away with "regular' clothes!! ;-)
