Mad Men For Banana Republic

Today Banana Republic's Mad Men Collection hits stores.  The capsule collection was co-designed by Mad Men's award winning costume designer Janie Bryant and was inspired by the 60's costumes the cast wears on the show.  There are definitely some pieces here that I like.  What do you think?

Not surprising, I love the men's collection too.

I had the pleasure of meeting Janie Bryant in March when she was a guest judge for Charleston Fashion Week.  Lovely woman on the inside and out.  Congrats on a beautiful collection, Janie.  I'd love to see what you might have up your sleeve for that clothing line you've been considering...

Ok I swear we keep thinking about the same things to write about! I was going to do a post on this next week. I am headed to CLT so I have been trying to plan my posts for the week. Love this collection but sadly most BR clothes never fit my body right, but maybe one of the jackets will work. I adore the mens line, hot stuff!

Loving the woman's line, not so much the men's...why are his pants so darn short? Looks like a bad tailor job!!

I love those dresses! I can't wait until they arrive. :)

I agree with Natalie! Love the clothes but they never seem to fit me right. I think they're made for shorter girls. I'm pretty smitten with the mens line. Very dapper :)

Absolutely gorgeous line. I think together, the womens collection, is a little costumey, but separately its stunning

Lovely stuff-- I do heart a capsule collection! Especially enjoy the slimmer cuts to the men's suiting, looks far more bespoke than BR!

no my favorite....the show is much much better and these just look out of place to me...the men's is better...should have hired Janie to do the styling too.

I love the women's line and would love to wear each one of these pieces! I pray for your reader on your post yesterday and hope she gets the helps that she needs and I applaud her for reaching out. Not always easy to do. A smile is the most beautiful curve on a womans body....what a beautiful quote. So true.

I think some of the pieces look really great ... but for some reason I wasn't inspired to pull out my credit card for an online order. I'll try to get by the store to check it out in person!
