Fresh & Lucky

Confession. Joe Fresh, the "of the moment" brand apparently on every editor's lips, had escaped me. I'm not ashamed to admit it. The Canadian brand doesn't have an e-commerce site (yet! but they do have a beautiful site worth checking out) and has only a handful of stores in the US, all in NYC. But I think the US is going to hear about them a lot more in the near future. My friend Elana Fishman at Lucky Magazine (remember when she took me on the tour of her office?) dropped by Joe Fresh's 5th Avenue flagship store to try on some of the brand's affordable trends. Looking good, Elana!

Like Spain's Zara and Sweden's H&M, I think Canada's Joe Fresh can hold it's own. Aaaand much like it's high street predecessors, JF also has a really cute childen's line. But I really want to hear from my Canadian readers, what do you all think of this brand? Dish.

PS, you can check out Elana's full report here!

Some great pieces, love all of those flats and the houndstooth sweater! I had never heard of Joe Fresh either.

My kids basically live in either Joe Fresh or H&M- Joe is my number one go to for stylish affordable clothes- and the best part here, many the stores are located inside grocery stores so you can buy incredible chic clothes while pretending to bill it all to your weekly groceries- truly brilliant:) My Scarlett used to be a fit model for them so I've been inside their main design center a bunch of times and can attest to their fabulousness...definitely one of my favourites!

I love Joe Fresh. We were back and forth to canada a a lot this past spring for Luke's work and there was one right next to wear we were staying. I totally stocked up!

Joe Fresh sells in grocery stores as well as normal stores here. It's a little hit and miss for me but when you find something good, it's sure to be at a ridiculously good price. Like, cheaper than H&M good.

Oh yeap, Joe Fresh rocks! But as Gabs says, sometimes it can be hit and miss, though most of the time they do pretty good. I always try to do my groceries as fast as I can so that I have some time to browse the clothes ;)

I have only shopped in the stand alone stores, it sells in a store called SuperStore her, I refer to it as StupidStore and no amount of money saved shopping there is worth the mental strain I feel when I go there, LOL!
I haven't bought a lot, but I agree with Gabrielle, it is hit and miss, some items last forever and wash up great, others are one hit wonders. Very similar to H&M in my opinion. Now, if you would like to come to Calgary I will take you...and serve you wine and lots of food. ;)

Joe is great for kids. Stylish but afforable. I've found a few things that worked for me, but, like others have said, it's hit and miss. Definitely worth a try though!
