Metallic Rugs...For Less

Have you seen these Metallic Woven Rugs from Serena & Lily?

Lovely, aren't they?   Such a great way to add a little shimmer to your floor.  They're priced from $220- $850.  If that's a little on the high side for your budget, consider this metallic leather rug from Urban Outfitters.

I actually own this rug and have it in our master closet.  Absolutely love it.  And at $49 for a 3 x 5 rug it's a great deal!  Only sold in stores now, but there are plenty.

New Look

Notice that things look a little different around here?  I decided to spruce up my blog for a cleaner read.  Hopefully you'll find it easier to navigate.  I enlisted the help of Shari from Little Blue Deer, and girl delivered!  Not only was she a dream to work with, but as you can see she's extremely talented too.  I've had my eye on Shari for awhile because she seems to be behind the designs of a lot of blogs that I enjoy.  So if you're considering revamping your own site, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her work.

You've probably noticed that a happy little sponsor section has been added to the left.  I've had a few vendors contact me with advertising inquiries, and I'm happy to announce

Look Linger Love is now accepting sponsors.

Be on the lookout this week for welcome posts announcing some new partnerships.  And if you think you would be a good fit for my blog and might like to advertise here, shoot me an email.

Whew, what a fun post to write.  Thank you so much to all of my amazing readers for making blogging so much fun and for inspiring me everyday.  None of this would be possible without you.  Ya'll rock!

xoxo,

A Sweetheart For Your... Sweetheart

Who here plans a special outfit for the Valentine's date?  I'm a planner for sure.  And right about now I'm wishing I had this beauty in my closet.

And these to go with it.

What's your favorite date attire?  I'm a dress and skirts kinda girl, myself.

More Valentine's Fun

Here's another post to inspire the men in our lives.

Thinking jewelry for your girl? Great, we love it.  You know what else we love?  A pretty presentation.  Why not put that bauble in a pretty trinket box?

These are badass and available here at Anthropologie.

So that's covered.  Still looking for something pretty to put inside?

Clockwise from top left:

I think I'll take one of each please.

Here And There

Did you catch my spring fashion roundup on Design Mom?  To say that I was thrilled to write as a guest mom for the one and only Gabrielle Blair would be a major understatement.  I would get the warm and fuzzies if you would head over to her site and check it out.  Pretty please?

And I was also over at Staci Edwards' blog yesterday!  Don't you just love her?!  She has impeccable style.  I shared a little peak into one of my most favorite interiors.  And let me just tell you, this place is S T U N N I N G !!
Go see the post and Staci's purdy blog here!

And as if that weren't enough, today I'm guesting over on Krista's blog, Kiki's List, as part of a lovely week long series comprised of some aweome guest bloggers.  I'm sharing what styles I'm looking forward to wearing in spring.  It includes this.

Lastly, I've gotten a few questions about my outfit from the photoshoot and some of ya'll didn't leave email addresses for me to respond to so I'm sharing here.  The dress is BB Dakota, the shoes are JCrew, and the necklaces are JCrew and Candace Ang.

Whew- I'm quite sick of myself!  I can't imagine how you all feel.

Keely Shares Her Favorites

Let's resume our Designer's Favorites series, shall we??  Many of you probably know Keely and her blog, luxe + lillies.  I've been reading her for awhile now, and I absolutely love her take on style and substance.  I had gotten my first peak of her home when she shared this...

and knew that I most certainly, without a doubt, really needed to see a lot more of it.  I'm betting you did too.  And so I present, the lovely Keely.

Hello! Keely here from luxe + lillies, and I'm thrilled to be sharing 5 of my favorite things from around my home today...

1. My white/gray Restoration Hardware bedding. I'm a lunatic about it [to be completely honest] I go as far as shutting my bedroom door all day so that no pets will disrupt my beautifully made bed. I adore how clean and classic it looks!

2. Art from my little brother. He is 8 years younger than me, and we have always been really close. These are a few of his first pieces, and I'm certainly his biggest fan. Of course he has gone on to create hundreds of pieces, all of which are fantastic- and I'm just so proud of him, I probably have 10 pieces on my walls...

3. My all-white bathroom. We live in a small place, and when we first moved in- I wasn't sure about all the white. Now, I think its the best feature of our apartment. The white is so clean and bright, it makes the space feel much bigger than it is.

4. My workspace. Its a great little space next to the silk draperies I adore so much, our floor to ceiling windows, with my inspiration wall, and super girly damask patterned chair.  I knew I needed to carve out a little workspace [no matter how tiny it was] and is perfect for me!

5. The bar tray. I made this menu from the drink menu at one of my favorite restaurants. There's something so pretty about the shiny bottles, fun colors, and mirrored tray against the striped wall.

Thanks so much for having me today Chassity!

Thanks so much to Keely for stopping by today and sharing her home.  Isn't that framed bar menu genius?!  Be sure to head over to her blog.  You won't be disappointed.

A Little Photoshoot And Some Outtakes Included

Warning: This post might be as self indulgent as they come.

A few of you have left some nice messages about my new profile picture.  I've loved reading them and am so thankful to have such great readers.  I love ya'll, I so so do.  Well the picture is from a little photoshoot that I did last Thursday with one of my best friends, Gray Benko, who just so happens to be a ridiculously talented children's photographer.  Seriously, the bestest.  I'm so lucky to have her in my life.  I really wanted a more professional image on my blog, but you know I never would have hired a stranger to take pictures of me for my blogging hobby.  While Gray insisted to not expect much b/c she only works with children, I think she did an amazing job.  And best of all, posing by myself wasn't so bad.  We had fun.  You'll see...

We seriously took hundreds of images as we walked around downtown.  She just kept snapping while I laughed at the random people watching me (who must have thought I was crazy b/c some of these strangers took pictures of us- oy!).  But let's be honest, I only need a couple of pictures, if not just one.  So these are the ones I'm keeping.  But I love ya'll too much to not share some funny outtakes.  I mean, those are the ones you actually want to see, am I right?!  At the end of our "shoot" we came upon this scooter...

Couldn't help myself.  The people inside the restaurant that it was parked in front of were egging me on, and we had a great time being goofy.

Aaaaand it gets better...

When my husband saw this last one he actually said, "Who do you think you are?!"!!  (In a nice way of course) Ha.

Here's to awesome girlfriends and just letting go and being girly.  I'm so happy that I'll always have these pictures to look back on.

PS-- Be sure to check out Gray's awesome photography blog.

Bedding Lust And Weekend Bluntcard Fun

This weekend my search for new bedding continues.  You may remember that I posted about this a while ago, and yes I'm still looking.  I've seen plenty of things I like a lot, but so far nothing that is perfect.
Like this...

Anyone know where I can find this look without spending an arm and a leg and not sacrificing quality?

Good Morning

Are the colors in this kitchen not exquisite?  The dishes, the lined up pears, the artwork...  And I don't need new stools, per say, but I know these stools would be the icing to my kitchen.

Jenny (MFAMB) Shares Her Favorites

I feel like maybe I should curse a little (a lot) and talk about bodily functions in my introduction of this next designer favorites feature.  Jenny of My Favorite and My Best is everyone's favorite potty mouthed design blogger.  Maybe you've been reading her for while now, but I first found and fell hard for her when I read her post about design trends she hates and got swept away reading all of the subsequent comments.  Genious.  Anyway, Jenny's here today sharing some of her favorite things in her home.  Enjoy.

{The lovely lady du jour.}

hey there lookers, lingerers and lovers!  i am jenny and i just rediscovered the bulk section at whole foods and am at present on a sugar high from an entire bag of chocolate covered pretzels.

in truth my favorite things in my house are my toilet, my tv and my refrigerator but that wouldn't make a very pretty post.  so i picked some other awesome places and things around my house..

i am very big on my bar:

not only for the alcohol dreams it provides but bc i bought that piece for a song on craigslist and transformed it into mid century magic...

it's on great big wheels for travel drinking.

next on the list of favorites is my oly bench that i ALSO got on craigslist for what is known in the design blogging circle as the greatest craigslist deal ever in the history of EVER...
an oly bench is right around 2,000 dollars.  i got mine for 150 dollars...

i am the craigslist whisperer.

and here is where i became semi famous...

this is my desk in my bedroom. (also a painted redo) it is my favorite place at about 7:30 AM when i am half way through my cup of organic french roast and ezekial brand sprouted english muffin with strawberry jelly and 8 pounds of butter.  it's all about balance.

i hope you enjoyed yourselves.  i aim to please.
thank you chassity!  you rock, your blog rocks and i thank you for inviting me to talk about myself on your blog.
love forever,
jenny aka mfamb aka your mom
Big thanks to Jenny for stopping by.  I hope you all enjoyed and head over to MFAMB to read more from her.  And if you don't love the bar cart on wheels, you're crazy.  Isn't there a need for travel drinking in the home?
And that's all folks.
