Guest Feature Decorating For Fall

I'm so excited to have Kirsten of 6th Street Design School as a guest feature today.  She is a bright and budding interior designer out of Utah with a serious eye for style.  You may remember Kirsten from my Nate In New York post (isn't she adorable?!).  If you haven't yet visited her blog, then you should take some time to go browse.  She is hands down one of my favorite blogs to read daily for interior tips, and should be yours too!  Kirsten, I'm honored to have you today.  Thank you so much for putting this together for my readers.

I love decorating for fall. Some of the most simple accessories can give your home that warm harvest feeling.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Feathers

I think a simple feather can really give off the essence of fall. Especially a beautiful quail feather.

Fruit and Nuts

I love nuts mixed with fruit in the fall.

Leaves

The great thing about leaves is that they are all around in the fall. Just pick a few up and spread them on your table or fill a vase with them.

Great ideas - one question do you use real fruit or fake? I feel so "great-grandma" using fake, but real fruit in a tall vase i think would go bad after a few days...

I would use real fruit. You can buy real mini pumpkins that should last you all through fall!
